Those with a faster metabolism burn calories faster, but those with a slow metabolism have access to plans and programs such as the metabolism diet. By eating the right foods, the creators claim that you’ll speed up your metabolism and start losing weight faster.
A typical breakfast on the diet plan consists of a breakfast shake, oatmeal or another low-calorie dish. Drinking just coffee with sweetener is another option.
A sample lunch menu is one cup of steamed spinach with two hard-boiled eggs or a half-cup of low-calorie soup with a small turkey sandwich.
The dinner plan consists of a well-balanced meal, but in a smaller portion than you typically eat. A three-ounce piece of fish or six-ounce steak with steamed vegetables is the typical dinner.
The extras allowed vary, depending on the creator. At e-Diets, only condiments such as soy sauce, ketchup, lemon, herbs and mustard are allowed, while Every Diet allows three low-calorie snacks.
Water is an important element of the metabolism diet and it’s recommended that you drink at least 4-6 glasses of water every day. Coffee, tea and other low-calorie or calorie-free drinks are also allowed.
The number of calories found in the metabolism diet may not be enough to support an active lifestyle. When you first start on the plan, reduce the amount of exercise until you know you can handle it.
