Types Of Vitamins And Their Relevance To The Body

Types Of Vitamins And Their Relevance To The Body….Imagine that you start to believe all your engine needs is the fuel for it to run, and so you decide the oil is irrelevant. Good luck to you! Without the proper supply of vitamins to the body, trouble looms. What’s interesting is that the quantity of these vitamins that the body actually needs to properly function is little, so it becomes rather easy to almost discount their importance.

The infographic presented by medalerthelp.org clearly illustrates how little we need, and also how to get them from the foods that we eat.

These vitamins are derived from the food we eat and vitamin supplements we take, because the body is incapable of producing them by itself. Improving your diet is essential if you want to properly battle vitamin deficiency, and in most cases this means cooking your own food instead of relying on takeout. However, lots of people swear by healthy meal delivery services as an equally viable alternative if you don’t have time to cook every single day.

There’s also the issue of how your body breaks down specific vitamins. Some of them are water-soluble, while others are fat-soluble. The water-soluble ones include Vitamins B and C, while the fat-soluble vitamins are A, D, E and K.

Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water and are absorbed by the body into the blood when the food we eat is broken down by digestion. They move around the body easily and are excreted from the body through urine when they become too much. These water-soluble vitamins help release the energy in the food we eat, keep the tissues healthy, build proteins and cells, and make collagen. The water-soluble vitamins are replenished by the body regularly.

Unlike water-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble vitamins are not absorbed directly into the bloodstream but enter the blood through lymph vessels after being absorbed by bile, produced by the liver. For these vitamins to move round the body, they are attached to proteins that act as carriers. Fat-soluble vitamins help keep the eyes, skin, lungs, and nervous system in good condition. They also help build bones.
