Low Carbohydrate Dieting Instructions


These low carbohydrate dieting instructions will help you with creating the best approach for healthy long term weight loss.

There are two approaches that you can use when it comes to healthy low carbohydrate dieting.

These approaches have been tested by me over a period of fifteen years, and have produced impressive results for many of my clients.

The first low carb strategy is carbohydrate zig zagging. This is where you consume low carbohydrates for two to three consecutive days and then raise your carb intake back to maintenance level.

The healthiest way is to drop your nutrient ratio from 50-30-20 to 40-40-20 and to consume 40% of your calories from carbohydrates, 40% of your calories from lean protein and 20% of your calories from good dietary fat.

Once you adjust your meals using these nutrient ratios, then you simply eat these meals for two to three consecutive days, and then raise your carb intake back to maintenance level for four consecutive days, where 50% of your calories will come from carbohydrates, 30% from lean protein and 20% from good dietary fat.

After the four consecutive days at maintenance level you can drop your carb intake back to 40% and eat low carb meals for another two to three days.

The second low carb approach is carbohydrate tapering. This is where you eat natural complex starchy carbohydrates in the first two meals of the day, and natural complex fibrous carbohydrates for the last two meals of the day.

Your can adjust your nutrient ratios to 30-50-20 and leave your calorie intake the same. This means that only 30% of your calories will come from carbohydrates with an increase in the protein intake.

You can also use the 30-40-30 nutrient ratio and increase the intake of dietary fat for the last two meals.

Since fibrous carbohydrates have a lower calorie density than the starchy carbs, and plus lean protein has a high thermic effect, you will enjoy the low carb benefits without the conventional carb diet consequences.

In the first two meals your body will get the carbohydrate intake it needs to function properly and in the last two meals you will burn more calories because of the nutrient intake adjustments in your meals.

These are advanced nutrition strategies and should be used only when you have mastered the basics and fundamentals of proper nutrition and exercise.

These low carbohydrate dieting instructions can help you to create impressive long term weight loss results and to help your body to burn more calories on a daily basis.

Every extra calorie that you burn will move you closer and closer toward creating the body of your dreams.
