Losing belly fat by consuming more lean protein is an excellent long term strategy

Consuming moderate amounts of lean protein is one the most effective ways of losing belly fat.

The reason why this is so effective is simple: Protein has the highest thermic effect of any food.

This means that over 30% of the calories that come from protein are burned of during the digestion and utilization of this nutrient.

The exact ratio of protein to carbohydrate and dietary fat consumption will depend on your body type and your health goals.

But the best place to start when you are on a weight loss program is with the nutrient ratio of 50-30-20.

This means that by using this nutrient ratio 30% of your calories would come from consuming lean protein.

Eating too much of any food will be lead to the surplus getting stored as body fat, but protein is less likely to be converted to fat than any other nutrient.

This boost in the metabolism is the reason that low carb diets are so effective when used temporarily. This moderate consumption of 30% of your calories from protein is not a low carbodydrate approach.

Low carb diets should be used only as an advanced nutrition strategy, when you have mastered the basics and fundamentals of healthy weight loss nutrition.

The low carb approach is has ts own section in this site where I explain how to effectively use this strategy, without the negative consequences of conventional low carb diets.

A moderate consumption of lean protein is one of the best ways to create a lean, healthy body without a lot of investment of time or effort.

When you combine this technique with all the other strategies in this site, creating the body of your dreams will eventually become a reality.
