The reason is simple, the only way you can calculate your ideal weight is by choosing the body fat percentage that you want to reach when this ideal weight becomes a reality.
In other words, you are the one who decides what your ideal weight will be–based on the body fat percentage that you want to reach.
The best way to choose is to calculate your current body fat percentage, and then choose the body fat percentage you want to have in the future.
