Out of the many things you can do to lose weight I beleve that their are three essential things to losing weight, and for keeping it off longterm:
Diet - A proper diet is the most essential element for any weight loss goals. Cutting your calories by around 500 a day will help you lose 1 pound a week. 1 pound a week might not seem like a lot, by in a year time it accumulates to over 52 pounds. Some things you can do to improve your diet is cut junk foods, fried foods and add more healthy foods, such as fruits, and veggies.
Exercise - A good diet isn't all you need to lose weight; exercising will help burn calories, build muscle and keep you healthy. There are plenty of great exercises some good are: running, swimming, biking, and even power walking. Doing exercise every day or every other day can double the amount of calories you burn which means double the weight loss!
Keeping Focused - I believe this to be the most essential thing to weight loss. Not giving up and persevering is difficult, especially when there is times were you work so hard but see no progress. One thing you can do to keep focused and positive it keep a weight loss journal to track your weight loss progress. Your weight loss journal should include things such as your current weight, your goals and even pictures of yourself so that you can see the improvements for yourself.
If you follow these three guidelines losing weight in 2 weeks should be no problem at all for you, remember weight loss is not a sprint but a marathon.
Starting slow and persevering is better then sprinting 100 meters and running of energy in the 10k run!.
