If you have a slow metabolism, and enjoy eating delicious, high calorie foods on a regular basis, using cardio training for you -- is simply a "100% must"...period!

The reason for this is simple: Cardiovascular exercise is the only way that you will be able to burn off the "excess" calories that you consume -- whenever you allow yourself to eat more food than your body can realistically burn off on a daily basis!

How to Lose Pounds....I have written in many of my articles, that personally I "love" to eat delicious, high calorie foods on a regular basis, and would never, ever, for any reason deny myself -- this "ultimate" pleasure!

In fact, one of the things that actually motivates me to use exercise six days per week, is the fact that I can eat the foods that I love on a regular basis!

I simply keep my cheat meals to 3 to 4 times per week, and "always" consume the high calorie foods that I enjoy in the first meal of the day, as soon as possible after waking up, or in the second meal of the day, four hours after eating breakfast!

And, I always, always, eat these cheat meals on the days of the week, when I do cardio training. This helps my body to burn off these excess calories -- in two ways!

First, if you eat these foods for breakfast or in the 2nd meal of the day, your body will "efficiently" burns off these excess calories, because of the "fast" that it went through while you were sleeping.

And, second, when you use cardio in the evening, you help your body to burn off any excess calories -- that it might not have burned off during the day!

This is one of the secrets how I have maintained my ideal body weight of 175 pounds (80 Kg) with 10% body fat for the last 15 years!

The reason for this is simple: Muscle is a metabolically active tissue, and your organism burns a lot of calories maintaining it!

This means, the more muscle you have, -- the more calories your body burns off during the day, and vice versa, the less muscle you have, -- the less calories your body burns during the day!

And, since the majority of people lose muscle as they age, their metabolism starts to slow down. There are many reasons for this, and one of the major ones is not consuming a moderate amount of protein on a regular basis!

To achieve proper cell function -- your body must have the optimum amount of essential amino acids on a daily basis -- and if it doesn't, it will simply break down your "protein tissues" to get these amino acids!

The protein tissue that it uses first is your muscle! So, with time, you will have less muscle, and what was once your daily "maintenance" calorie intake, eventually becomes a calorie "surplus."

And, the amount of food that allowed you to maintain your weight in the past, will cause "weight gain," because your body is simply not burning off the same amount of calories on a daily basis anymore!

Weight training is the only physical activity that will help you to reverse this process! And this is very important for both mean, and women, as I mentioned before!
