Consuming white flour and white sugar can cause rapid fat gain, and have damaging effects on their body composition. Eating clean, healthy food, with a moderate daily intake of carbs, protein and dietary fats is the ultimate nutrition strategy that an endomorph can use to reach, and then maintain his or her ideal body weight. Most endomorphs are bulky and chubby with a slower digestive system. Individuals that fall into this category typically are prone to being somewhat overweight. From a personality perspective, endomorphs are perceived to be more easy-going, tolerant people that like comfort, routine and habit. They love food and the company of others and often eat and exercise for the shared experience and being with and around other people. Endomorphs have limbs that are shorter in relation to their trunk and the musculature of their upper body is usually not defined. Male endomorphs have a different fat distribution tendency pattern from female endomorphs. In female endomorphs, fat is collected in their legs, hips and buttocks. In male endomorphs, fat is collected mostly in their abdomen. According to the research, fat deposited at abdominal area is more dangerous than fat in the butt and leg area. This is mainly due to the risk of heart disease and an increased risk of cancers, blood pressure and diabetes.

From my experience, consuming too many processed carbohydrates is one the major causes, if not the "major" cause of unwanted body fat for people with an endomorph dominant body type.

People with different body types obviously also have to use different "exercise" strategies to reach, and then maintain their ideal body fat percentage in the long run!Endomorphs have to use cardio training on a regular basis to help their body to burn off body fat. And once they reach their ideal body weight, they have to keep using cardio to maintain it. Cardio training, for the endomorph is the main physical activity that can help them to create permanent fat loss. And, without using aerobics on a regular basis, most endomorphs simply can't reach their ideal body weight. The reason for this is simple: Cardio training burns off body fat directly, and cardio training also burns the most "total" calories when compared to other physical activities. Endomorphs also have to use weight training to maintain their current muscle, which helps to keep their metabolism elevated, and this helps their bodies to keep burning off as many calories during the day as possible! This is one of the very important steps toward creating irreversible, long-term weight loss success for the endomorph. If you have an endomorph dominant body type, as soon as you stop using cardio training and weight training on a regular basis, the body fat will start to slowly creep back on! From 15 years experience in the area of weight loss, I have never seen an endomorph maintain their ideal weight without exercising regularly. What this means is that if you have an endomorph dominant body type, and you want to reach, and then maintain your ideal weight you will "most likely" -- have to use cardio training and weight training for the rest of your life!

People that have a mesomorph dominant body type have a large bone structure, large muscles and naturally athletic physiques. They are the natural born athletes and bodybuilders. They find it quite easy to gain and lose weight. Because they are naturally strong, building muscle for them is very easy. In fact, many of them have a muscular physique before they start working out with weights. The mesomorph can get away with overeating and not exercising, and still maintain a low body fat all year round. And if they do cardio and weight training, their bodies respond like crazy, with muscle growth, and amazingly low body fat percentages. They are born with "naturally" fast metabolisms, and gain unwanted body fat only if they continue to consume a "really" high daily calorie intake -- for an extended amount of time!

There is not that much to say about the mesomorph dominant body type when it comes to weight loss. No matter what they do, they seem to easily maintain their lean body mass, and a low body fat percentage. Because of this many mesomorphs fall into the trap of consuming too much unhealthy food, not taking into account that this could compromise their health in the long run.
Different Body Types: The Ectomorph!
People that have an ectomorph dominant body type are the typical skinny people. They have a light build with small joints. Most ectomorphs have long thin limbs with stringy muscles. Ectomorphs are the exact opposites of the endomorphs, and instead of having problems with unwanted body weight, they have problems with gaining additional body weight. In fact it is also very difficult for them to gain muscle. To builds new muscle, and to maintain it in the long run, ectomorphs have to consume a very high calorie intake, and use the right weight training strategy without ever stopping!
Typical Traits Of The Ectomorph:
-small, delicate frame and bone structure-find it very hard to gain weight -flat chest and small shoulders -very high metabolisms -very high energy levels -very lean muscle mass
The ectomorphs that want to gain weight have to move less, get extra sleep, consume high amounts of calories, do not skip meals, eat meals high in carbohydrates, and continue to pay attention to the quality of the food that they eat. Weight training with proper nutrition can make a difference, but this has to be done on a regular basis and continued for life, because ectomorphs have a problem with maintaining their muscle mass due to the very high natural metabolisms.

As you can see, the major difference between the three different body types is the ability to burn off body fat and the ability to build new muscle.The endomorph experiences difficulties with losing unwanted weight. The ectomorph experiences difficulties with gaining weight. The mesomorph is the only body type that can be considered genetically advantaged, because they lose unwanted body fat easily, and gain muscle easily, also!
