Garlic has strong antifungal and antiyeast abilities. It is particularly good at inhibiting the growth of Candida. If you can tolerate it, chew and swallow at least 1 raw clove or more per day. This needn’t be taken alone. It may be more palatable to mince or press 1 clove and sprinkle it on your daily salad or any other dish you prefer.
You can spend thousands of dollars on products or medications, go on the candida diet till you cant stand it anymore, and all too soon after you get off the medications or diet, boom – back it comes. If it ever went away in the first place.
Chemicals, such as inks, dyes, and perfumes, can upset the balance in your crotch or trigger allergic reactions that lead to yeast infections. the classic example is commercial douches, which have no benefits and are definitely harmful to the vaginal environment and your health. You know those odor-causing bacteria that their products help you get rid of? Well, they’re the same bacteria that kill the yeast in your crotch! on top of that, soaps are not only disruptive to the vaginal environment, but can damage your mucus membranes. you should never soap your crotch. but there are other, less obvious sources of nasty chemicals. For example, i’ve had serious problems with those nasty colored, perfumed toilet papers, like Charmin; 5 days of that and i am yeast central.
When the balance of good and bad bacteria is thrown off, yeast can build up in the intestines and cause a whole host of health problems. Whenever you take antibiotics, keep in mind this is strong medication. Ask your provider: How does it work? Is there a topical antibiotic I could use instead? Sometimes, antibiotics are needed but their overuse can cause serious problems. Adding acidophilus and bifidus to your diet (in capsules) can re-balance the intestinal bacteria, and build up resistance to future overgrowths.
FDA requires that OTC products to treat yeast infections carry the following warning:”If you experience vaginal yeast infections frequently (they recur within a two-month period) or if you have vaginal yeast infections that do not clear up easily with proper treatment, you should see your doctor promptly to determine the cause and receive proper medical care.”
When you have had candida overgrowth, it will have greatly decreased your ability to absorb nutrients. So once you have got the candida under control, you need to get some nutrients back into the body.
