Tapering Calories for Weight Loss


Tapering calories for weight loss is an advanced nutrition strategy.

Once you have mastered the basics and fundamentals of proper nutrition you can use this technique for taking your weight loss program to the next level.

The main idea behind tapering calories is that your metabolism burns more calories in the first half of the day, and in the second half it burns less.

When you go to sleep your body burns the least amount of calories, and because of this making your last meal the smallest can produce some amazing weight loss results.

Your first step as always is to calculate your TDEE and once you have this number to create your daily meals.

Tapering your calories for weight loss is really simple: make your first meals of the day larger and the last meals of the day the smallest.

For example if we use an example of 2400 daily calorie intake, and divide it into four meals using the calorie tapering technique, the numbers would look like this.

Your first meal would be 700 calories, your second meal would be 600 calories, your third meal would also be 600 calories and your last meal would be 500 calories.

You could make these calorie amounts 800, 700, 500 and 400 calories per meal, and produce even more weight loss, because the first two meals, especially breakfast most likely will get completely digested and utilized by your body after a long fast during the night.

This can be used to your advantage, and the calories in the last two meals will also get completely burned up by your body since there are fewer calories in these meals, than in the first two meals.

The last meal should always be the smallest when using this approach, because your metabolism is at its slowest in the evening and while you are sleeping.

Tapering calories for weight loss is an advanced technique because eating smaller meals in the second part of the day is difficult for most people.

It is much easier to implement once you have gained some experience and knowledge in your weight loss program.

What I will say is that this approach is very effective at creating amazing weight loss results without slowing down your metabolism.

So once you reach an advanced level this technique can take you to the next level of leanness and eventually can help you to create the body of your dreams.
