A Calorie Intake Calculator
Might Not Be The Best Tool
For Calculating Your
Daily Calorie Intake

A calorie intake calculator is one of the fastest ways to count how many calories that you should consume during the day. But, it is not the best tool for this important task!

In this article you will discover that the problem with using a calculator is that it will only give an estimated number and without using your LBM (lean body mass) to calculate your daily calorie intake you will only have a ballpark figure based on your total body weight.

Plus, you have to take into account your daily physical activity level, which obvioulsy burns additional calories, and these calories also have to be added to your daily calorie intake! This is another task that most calorie intake calculators can't help you to accomplish properly.

Every calorie counts when it comes to reaching, and then maintaining your ideal body weight, and because of this a calorie intake calculator is not your best option! In case you still want to use one, I will give you the link to an online source at the end of this article!
If you want a quick way to calculate your daily calorie needs simply use these simple calculation formulas.

If you want to maintain your current weight multiply your current body weight by 15 calories per pound of bodyweight. For example 200 pounds multiplied by 15 calories, would give you a maintenance level calorie intake of 3000 calories per day!

If you want to lose weight by creating a small calorie deficit multiply your current body weight by 12 calories per pound of bodyweight. This would be 200 pounds multiplied by 12 calories, which would give you 2400 calorie intake for weight loss.

If you want the most accurate way to calculate your optimum daily calorie intake, instead of using these formulas, or a calorie intake calculator, in this calorie intake article you will find the formula that takes into account your LBM (lean body mass) and provides you with the most accurate amount of calories that you should consume during the day.

This might take a little time, but if reaching your ideal weight is your main goal, this is the best approach that you can use.

When using a calorie intake calculator, there is a very high chance that you will not get an accurate number.

If you consume too many calories you will gain weight, if you don't consume enough, your body will slow down your metabolism, because it will not get the "fuel" that it needs to function properly!

Instead of using a calorie intake calculator, use the TDEE formula, and get the exact amounts of calories that your body can burn during the day!

In the beginning of your weight loss program the best approach is to consume the exact amount of calories that your body can realistically burn off during the day, while doing cardio and weight training on a regular basis.

This is the only approach that can help you to create the necessary calorie deficit, and at the same time providing your body with the calories it needs to function properly on a daily basis.

Once you learn the basics and fundamentals of proper nutrition, you can use some advanced strategies and manipulate your daily calorie intake, but until you reach this advanced level this is not recommended.

Most people when they start out their weight loss program simply can’t continue using advanced nutrition strategies. A sharp appetite increase and hunger pangs always makes the majority of dieters throw in the towel shortly after starting to use any type of advanced nutrition strategy.

A calorie intake calculator might be useful if you simply want to have a ballpark figure of your daily calorie intake, but if you are serious about losing weight make sure you read this calorie intake article, and calculate your optimum daily calorie intake using the TDEE formula that you will find on that page.

And here is the link to an online calorie calculator that I promised at the beginning of this article.
