Best Cardio Workout &
The Best Exercises That Burn Fat

In this section we will go over the best cardio workout and the best exercises that burn fat.

In reality there is no such thing as the best exercise that works for everyone, there can only be a cardiovascular exercise approach that works the best for you!

If you're trying to reach your ideal body weight and you only have thirty minutes to work out, you would burn more calories walking at a fast pace compared to walking at a moderate pace.

Working out at higher intensities may cause you to burn a lower percentage of calories from fat, but since you burn more total calories, in the end, you still end up using more fat calories.

When choosing the best cardio workout and the best exercises that burn fat you have to take into account that low to moderate intensity exercise can also burn a significant number of calories over a period of time.

If you aren't fit enough to push yourself to work at a high intensity, or you have a physical weakness that prevents you from doing so, you can still burn a lot of calories by doing low-intensity workouts for a longer period of time.

What this means is that you should choose the exercise that you can realistically sustain long enough to burn a significant amount of calories. If you choose to work out using a low intensity exercise, simply plan to spend more time actually doing this exercise.

For example if you can’t or do not want to jog for thirty minutes, then simply walk fast for an hour!

This is how you should choose the best cardio workout for yourself, and then simply stick to using these aerobic exercises that burn fat for the rest of your life.

The number of fat calories you burn isn't that important, because even if you burn a lot of carbohydrate calories, these need to be replaced both by the carbohydrates you eat in your food and also within your body.

And since your organism uses body fat to create glucose (carbohydrate) you would still lose unwanted body fat even if all of the calories that you burned during cardio training came from carbohydrates.

So what actually happens in real life is your body fat stores are broken down and transformed into glucose (carbohydrate) whenever your body senses that there is a deficit of this fuel source.

So even if you're burning less fat calories and lots of carbohydrate calories, your fat still inevitably gets used!

Simply Stay Focused On Burning Calories!

It is true that walking fast, running, cycling, and other cardio activities burn more calories from body fat once you've been doing them for more than fifteen or twenty minutes, because technically your body has made the shift to using a higher percentage of fat for fuel.

But again, if you're trying to create permanent fat loss, the most important thing is the total number of calories that you burn during your aerobic workout, and not necessarily which fuel source that your body is burning more calories from.

For example, let's say that at rest you burn up to sixty percent of your calorie from fat. When you enter the initial phases of intense cardio exercise, the ratio will change. You may now burn only thirty percent of your calories from fat because your body is using quick energy carbohydrates.

Once the exercise is sustained for twenty minutes, the body switches back to using a higher percentage of fat to fuel the movement, for example up to seventy five percent from fat. In this aerobic phase of the exercise, a higher percentage of fat is being used as an energy source.

But, if for example, you chose to work out for a short period, using very high intensity cardio training exercises, you will still burn more total calories and, therefore, more fat calories will get used by your body because you were working out harder and more total calories got burned.

What this means is that you will get the best fat-burning results from high intensity cardio training. In the cardio workout routines article you will discover that the exercises that burn the most total calories, like running and sprinting, in the end burn the most total body fat, even though their fat-burning quota is on the low end of the ratio!

So, when choosing the best cardio workout for yourself, make sure that you choose exercises that burn fat directly and indirectly. In other words, create an exercise strategy where you simply burn the most total calories while you are doing it.

This also means that if a high intensity best cardio workout is not something that you can use on a regular basis, you will be better off using a low or moderate intensity cardio workout that you can sustain over an extended period of time.

When it comes to reaching and maintaining your ideal body weight the best cardio workout is the one that you can keep doing on a regular basis for the rest of your life. If all you can do is walk, for example, then simply use this physical activity and don't worry about not being able to sustain high intensity exercises.
